Bronx Group Hosts UN Day Event with Umoja AARP

Mrs. Oneater Sinclair, a longtime Bronx UNA leader,  reports that on October 30 over 35 people from the UNA-USA Bronx group and the Umoja AARP Chapter #5396 jointly held a luncheon to commemorate United Nations Month.  The event was held at the National Council of Negro Women Child Development Center at 4035 White Plains Road in The Bronx.

Fannie M. Munlin, NCNW

The featured speaker was Fannie M. Munlin, United Nations Representative of the NCNW New York State Regional & United Nations Office.  Ms. Munlin, also a management consultant, was Chair of the UN/DPI Conference in 2003.    Mrs. Sinclair also presented a video “The United Nations and the UNA-USA Partners.”   Other UNA leaders responsible for the event included Priscilla Crowell.

    Great to see residents in the Bronx celebrating UN DAY! I wish you much success in your endeavors, and hope that you will do all you can to keep the UN in NYC, where it belongs.
